Hello. I’m Shei.
My path as a Yoga Teacher is, above all, an act of deep gratitude and service. Every day, I am truly honored to help people find the gift of the present moment, cultivating that essential calm often lost in the noise. My greatest joy is the opportunity to offer you a gentle, safe space, without judgment, where compassion and well-being are accessible to you.
My Practice: Strong Roots, Humility, and Connection
My focus centers on Hatha Yoga and other tools that simply work to anchor us: Yoga Nidra, Meditation, Prāṇāyāma, and Mindfulness.
My training is a solid foundation, built with respect and much love:
Lineage and Roots: I learned from my dear teacher Gopi Om in Chicago, and my path led me to graduate with the profound wisdom of the 500 YTT from the Dharma Yoga Center in New York in 2017. I carry the teachings of Dharma Mittra, a true Master who embodies humility and devotion, and I honor his legacy by sharing the light of yoga.
Lifelong Student: My commitment is to never stop learning. I am currently immersed in the Accessible Yoga training with Jivana Heyman—because yoga is for every body—and I continue to deepen my knowledge in the beautiful art of Herbalism with teachers like Adriana Ayales, Christina Tanner, and Althea Northage Orr.
A Bridge for the Chicago Community
My calling is to build bridges. With a deeply grateful heart, I am dedicated to creating a warm, integrative space for the Spanish-speaking community in Chicago, where we can all practice fully bilingual (English/Spanish).
I bring the practice to where it's needed: community clinics, libraries, senior centers, public schools, and parks. And if you are far away, my virtual door is open with Free Virtual Classes.
My love for Nature and its preservation is my strongest drive. I feel blessed to share that connection with you on our retreats or during our humble Sunday sunrise contemplation practice at the Chicago lakefront.
When the day ends, my heart finds stillness in the best company: my four cats, my little teachers of gentleness and quiet.
